Lutube视频 is getting 鈥楩ired Up鈥 for National Apprenticeship Week 2020.

The College, which is part of the University of Lutube视频 Group, has planned a series of events from 3rd to the 7th February.

Lutube视频 currently offers over 50 different Apprenticeship programmes, so the week will showcase the diversity and value that their Apprenticeships bring to apprentices, employers, and communities in the North West.

The College has visited different apprentices in their workplace and produced a series of short films about their Apprenticeship experience. These will be released throughout the week on the College鈥檚 social media channels.

Caitlin Hesketh, who won 鈥楢pprentice of the Year鈥 at last year鈥檚 Lutube视频 Business Awards, stars in one of the films. The apprentice Hair Stylist, who works at Mirror & Mane in Wigan, said: 鈥淚 love being an apprentice so I enjoyed speaking on camera about how the Apprenticeship has benefited me and why I鈥檇 recommend one.鈥

During the week Adam Corbally, star of the BBC鈥檚 The Apprentice, will visit 17 local secondary schools with Lutube视频鈥檚 Schools Liaison Officer, Ian Littlewood.

The Radio Times named Adam as the favourite Apprentice candidate of all time, so he is well placed to discuss the benefits of Apprenticeships with young people.听

Members of the College鈥檚 Senior Management Team will go back to basics when they become Apprentices for the Day. They will shadow apprentices in their workplace, and use the experience to ensure that the College continues to provide valuable, varied and quality Apprenticeships.

On Wednesday, the College鈥檚 Roofing Department is collaborating with the North West Roof Training Group and holding an Apprentice of the Year Competition.

Four roofing apprentices will go head to head in front of judges Claire Griffiths, editor of Roofing Today Magazine and columnist and industry blogger, Stewart Rowles. Midland Lead and Welsh Slate will sponsor the awards.

Bill Webster, Principal of Lutube视频, said: 鈥淎pprentices are the lifeblood of many businesses and over the years, thousands of our apprentices have worked across the North West, then secured permanent employment or progressed to university.

鈥淟utube视频 has a very successful track record for delivering high-quality Apprenticeships; this week is not only an opportunity to showcase the skills and talents of our apprentices, but to celebrate the partnerships we have built with employers throughout the region, without whom these Apprenticeships would not be possible.鈥
