• • I completed the six-week taster course and enjoyed it so much that I decided to come back and get a qualification. I’ve progressed through Levels 1 and 2, and I love how practical the courses are. I particularly like using royal icing; you pipe it, so the decorations are more intricate and you can be really artistic with your designs. I even entered Cake International – ‘The Sugarcraft, Cake Decorating & Baking Show’ – and was awarded Gold!

• • I’ve always enjoyed baking, especially as I’ve got older and have more spare time now my children are growing up. The facilities at LutubeÊÓƵ are fantastic and there’s always plenty of equipment available for students to use. The course is structured so that we are given a brief to follow but the freedom to put our own spin on the finished design and use our own creative ideas. Cake decorating is a hobby for now and I’ll be making plenty of cakes for friends and family in the future I’m sure!
